New customers to Skips And Recycling Ltd (SAR), will be subject to a credit reference check before terms can be agreed. All payments must be made on delivery or prior to delivery by either cash payments or on receipt of invoice via BACS or Bank Transfer.

Skips And Recycling Ltd requires at least 24 hours' notice for next day service. If the official instruction is received before 10am then next day service is achievable subject to Skips And Recycling Ltd not encountering any logistical problems or problems out of its control (am or pm can be requested). However, we will always endeavor to meet individual requirements. If requested before 3pm we will attempt to meet next day delivery, however if the instruction is requested after 3pm then it is likely to be within 48 hours.

Skips And Recycling Ltd will endeavor to the best of its ability to meet any special requirements that our customer requires.

The hirer shall ensure that the skip is not overloaded by weight or by volume at the point of collection. 8-yard skips should be loaded so that it is filled no higher than the top of the sides; Skips And Recycling Ltd reserves the right to refuse to collect overloaded skips and any costs incurred due to unsafe loads/overloading (including wasted journeys) will be passed onto the hirer. Additional charges may be levied.

The customer will endeavour to ensure that there is free access to the site and that the access to the skip is clear to enable the skip delivery/exchange/collection to be carried out safely. Charges will apply as per Skips And Recycling Ltd Terms & Conditions, section 1.3, if our driver and truck are held up after a service is requested.

The maximum rental period for skips is 28 days. It is the responsibility of the hirer to request the collection within this time. Failure to do so will result in unannounced collection and/or rental charges being incurred at £1.50 per day.

Hazardous waste is not to be mixed with any other waste stream(s) in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations (October 2005) and the pre-treatment of requirements of the EC Landfill Directive of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

All hazardous waste packaging (tins, tubs, tubes, etc.) must be empty. It is the waste producer's responsibility to inform the waste disposer under your Duty of Care and advise of the relevant EWC Code to be adopted.

STRICT WASTE CLASSIFICATION: Hazardous Waste is not to be mixed with any other waste in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations October 2005 and the pre-treatment requirements of the EC Landfill Directive of the Environmental Protection Act 1990

It is illegal to deposit hazardous waste without prior notification and as such all tin, tubs, tubes and packaging of any sort MUST be empty. Please call for help and advice to dispose of product waste contained in any of the above. It is the waste producer's responsibility to inform the waste disposer under your duty of care and advise on the relevant EWC Code to be adopted.

Skips And Recycling Ltd cannot and will not be held responsible or liable for any damage caused whatsoever if the hirer requests the company driver to take his vehicle off the Public Highway to deliver/position the skip in a location requested by the hirer or their representatives.

Skips And Recycling Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by failure to supply, or any delay in supply.

The time allowed for loading/unloading is 15 minutes. If the vehicle is kept waiting longer than this Skips And Recycling Ltd reserves the right to charge waiting time at £25.00 per 15 minutes.

Skips And Recycling Ltd reserves the right to charge the customer for all costs incurred as a result of a late cancellation of service by way of a wasted journey charge of £95.00, being the minimum charge depending on skip/lorry size and location, up to a maximum of £150.00.

Skips can only be placed on the public highway by prior arrangement with Skips And Recycling Ltd. A permit to site a skip on the public highway, including footpaths, is required from the relevant local authority. Skips And Recycling Ltd can arrange the relevant permits to deposit a skip on the highway with the relevant local authority and a charge will be made. Charges vary with different local authorities. It is the hirers responsibility to make sure that all cones and lights are in place in line with the Highways Act 1980.

The hirer shall ensure that the skip is not overloaded by weight or by volume at the point of collection. All skips should be loaded so that they are not filled higher than the top of its sides. Skips And Recycling Ltd reserves the right to refuse to collect overloaded skips and any costs incurred due to unsafe loads/overloading (including wasted journeys) will be passed onto the hirer. Additional charges may be levied.

The lighting of fires in or near skips is strictly prohibited. The hirer will be liable for any loss or damage to the skip container (excluding fair wear and tear) during the term of the skip hire period and will be charged the current purchase price of the skip should it be lost or stolen whilst on the customers site. Once a skip has been placed, it shall not be repositioned without prior consent from Skips And Recycling Ltd. Moving skips on site could result in the inability to collect skip or damage to the skip.

The maximum rental period is 7 days for "non-account" customers and 28 days for "account" customers. It is the responsibility of the hirer to request the collection within this time. Failure to do so will result in unannounced collection.

The responsibility for the skip remains with the hirer until collected by a Skips And Recycling Ltd Vehicle. Any skips which are removed, lost or stolen whilst in the control of the hirer will be charged at full and new replacement value.
